On
Tour with Brian Voss
Indianapolis - West Virginia
(Mar. 7 - 11, 2007 )
Woodland Bowl, a great venue for bowling tournaments. With 80 lanes,
and a huge concourse, it is a great setting for the PBA. Scores were
moderately high, with the guys playing a lot of different angles.
I made the cut pretty easy using Scorpions, Cheetahs, and Green Aliens.
I have a lot of friends there, so it was nice to bowl well in front
of them. This was one of the new formats, where it is old style match
play, so the goal was to make it into the top 16, but obviously as
high as possible. I ended up surviving that cut, finishing 14th, but
still with a chance to make it to the top 5. Norm was running away
with the tournament, playing right around the 1st arrow all week,
sometimes a little left of it, or sometimes a little right of it.
He is the best in the business when it comes to throwing knuckle balls
up that first arrow. I gave it my best, but didn't make it to the
telecast, setting up a dramatic scenario in next weeks World Championship.
Tune in folks, it should be exciting.
