On
Tour with Brian Voss
U.S. Open (Feb. 15 - 19, 2006
)
It's tough to write about the US Open. I mean, it's the one tournament
that everyone wants to win, and I had high expectations for myself.
I had two solid rounds, but two rounds where I went about 12 games
with only 4 doubles. It was so hard to string strikes, kinda drove
a fella nuts. The pattern was flat, except there was a slight blend
around the first arrow. Some good scores came from there early, but
eventually the shot moved way inside, left of the fifth arrow on the
later games. I used Aliens most of the time, some strong ones and
some weak ones. I felt the volume suited this ball best. Didn't make
match play, so there's not much to say, except have to wait until
another time to win that tournament..
